PERCHERON GELDING

Lone Oak 12 Viking

Raised on our farm.

Sold in 2014 to Seamon Percherons. Went on for sale for $67,500 at the Mid-America Draft Horse Sale in February 2016. This was a record-breaking top sale price.

Bred by Lone Oak Percherons of Birtle, Manitoba, Canada, the horse sold to Brian Thiel & Jason Bexson, Didsbury, Alberta, Canada, consigned by Jeff Berger, Black Gold Percherons, Williston, North Dakota. This makes Viking the highest-selling draft gelding of any breed, any time, anywhere (he replaced Harry, a 6-year-old gelding which sold for $60,000 at the 2014 National Clydesdale Sale). In the main photo, seller Jeff Berger is pictured at left, with horse manager Gordy Ruzicka on the lead, and horseman Cody Woodbury in back.
